More than 10,000 Merton residents contact us every year for help with disability welfare benefits. Their enquiries also cover a wide range of other issues including debt, housing, employment, consumer goods and services, legal, relationships/families and much more.

Entitlement Support
Our specialist disability service helps relieve tremendous financial hardship and challenges for individuals and families.
If you’re disabled you may find it more difficult to apply for benefits or you may be disadvantaged by how your entitlement to benefits is assessed. Under the Equality Act you can ask for reasonable adjustments to be made to the assessment or application process so you’re not disadvantaged.
Our Disability Adviser delivers expert benefits advice and support to disabled people and those with long term health conditions living in Merton. These benefits include, but are not limited to, Attendance Allowance, Personal Independence Payment and Disability Living Allowance.
Over the past year our service has supported over 200 people, delivering an overall income gain of £278,174.
Your Feedback
Explained a complex situation very well and broke down a mass of things I didn’t really understand into a simple to-do list. Absolutely excellent!
