Suzanne Hudson, Chief Executive Officer

CEO Suzanne Hudson

Suzanne joined CA Merton and Lambeth in October 2017 following seven years of leading Bipolar UK, the national Bipolar charity.  Suzanne is committed to the voluntary sector with expertise in mental health, advice, homelessness and disability.  In addition she has served on a number of trustee Boards and voluntary committees.      

A passionate believer in access to social justice, regardless of means or circumstances, Suzanne uses her skills and experiences to lead the charity working closely with the Board of trustees, staff, volunteers, funders, partners and stakeholders. 

Suzanne was awarded an MBE for Services to Bipolar in 2017.

Karen Brunger, Head of Advice Services

Head Of Advice Services, Karen Brunger

Karen has been working with Citizens Advice since 2009 and joined CAML in 2017.

Her role is to meet (and when possible exceed) the requirements set by local and national funders. She is also passionately committed to ensuring clients receive accurate advice and information to clients, to help them deal with issues they face.

In practice, Karen ensures CAML sees as many clients as possible and that the quality of advice remains consistently high.

Kath Deegan, Head of Finance and Premises

Head of Finance
and Premises

Kathleen joined CAML as Head of Finance and Premises in July 2020. Her role is to manage the finances of the charity and oversee the facilities management of our three offices.

Kathleen brings 10 years of charity experience to CAML along with 25 years in public sector. Her public sector role involved grant management for Merton Council community projects such as Surestart and ESF capacity building for the volunteer sector. She brings a wealth of local knowledge and wide ranging management skills

Kathleen likes to volunteer at sporting events and prides herself as being one of the 90000 Games Makers at London 2012 Olympics.

Our service is only possible through the enormous commitment of our staff team, our amazing volunteers, our partners and our fantastic funders, partners and supporters. 

We aim to employ the best and highest quality staff members that we can. Although this can be a challenge, especially in London, we are delighted that our valued team, including full and part-time members, have maintained full or near full staffing levels to ensure the charity continues to provide the best service provision possible.

Their professionalism, commitment and dedication ensure tens of thousands of individuals and families throughout Merton and Lambeth receive the right support when they need it most.
